Gerard Farreras is an ensemble member of Deutsche Oper Berlin.

In the 23/24 season, Gerard made his debut as Raimondo Bidebent (Lucia di Lammermoor), Timur (Turandot), and he reprised Colline (La Bohème), Don Basilio (Il Barbiere di Siviglia), Dottor Grenville (La Traviata), among others.

He has been a member of the Internationales Opernstudio at Staatsoper Stuttgart from 2020 to 2023, singing both Sarastro and Sprecher (Die Zauberflöte), Angelotti (Tosca), Uncle Bonzo (Madama Butterfly), Basilio (Il Barbiere di Siviglia), Nikitic (Boris Godgunov), both Farfarello and Die Küchin (Die Liebe zu drei Orangen), Zúñiga (Carmen), among others.

He has been awarded with five extraordinary prizes at the 60th Tenor Viñas Competition and at Voci Verdiane Città di Busseto.

He has performed Anna Bolena in Les Arts (València), The Nose at Teatro Real (Madrid), Otello in Pamplona, Tosca in Oviedo, Die Zauberflöte in Peralada, La Traviata in Parma, La Bohème with Simfònica del Vallès (Barcelona) and Messa da Requiem in Berlin Philarmonie, among others.

His upcoming events are Lucia di Lammermoor in Deutsche Oper Berlin, La Traviata in El Gran Teatre del Liceu (Barcelona), Messa da Requiem in Baluarte (Pamplona) or Pulcinella with OSCyL, among others.
